Does your furry friend develop vomiting, diarrhoea, or have a reduced appetite for a while? Watch out for which may be symptoms of pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is a serious health concern for our furry friends and is potentially life-threatening.

Symptoms:

- Loss of appetite
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhoea
- Lethargy

Possible Risk Factors

- High-fat diet or ingestion of human food high in fat
- Endocrine diseases such as diabetes mellitus or hypothyroidism
- Obesity
- Certain medications or toxins
- Severe trauma to the pancreas
- Genetic: some breeds, including Miniature Schnauzers, Yorkshire Terriers, and Cocker Spaniels, are at higher risks of pancreatitis
