Feeding Guide

GRAIN FREE RECIPES

Lily's Kitchen recipes for cats are all grain free because cats don't naturally consume carbohydrates such as rice or wheat as part of their chosen diet, as they can't digest or make use of them very well. The source of energy in our food comes from high quality proteins and specially selected fats - which is much better for your feline family.

TOP TIPS

- Serve your cat high up where they feel more safe - like on a work surface or table.
- Place feeding bowls in quiet locations.
- Keep the water bowl away from the food bowl. And well away from the litter tray too, naturally!
- Cats prefer to eat little and often so serve several smaller meals throughout the day, rather than one or two larger ones. We recommend feeding wet food in the morning and evening, the leaving a dry food bowl out for them to graze during the day.
- Serve food at room temperature - not straight from the fridge.

HOW TO TRANSITION

Sudden changes to your cat's diet can cause tummy upsets. If you're serving up our food for the first time, it's best to introduce it into your cat's diet bit by bit over about a week. Start with a mix of 4/5 of your current food to 1/5 of Lily's Kitchen. Day by day, increase the proportions until you're feeding only Lily's Kitchen.
