Prescription Diet® Soft Baked Treats are delicious, healthy and rewarding treats with a soft, chewy texture that's easier on older teeth and gums. They are a perfect choice for adult dogs needing occasional treats without compromising the effectiveness of certain Prescription Diet® foods including Prescription Diet® c/d® Canine, h/d® Canine, and k/d® Canine. They are also appropriate for all healthy adult and mature adult dogs. These treats are formulated to promote a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite & calcium oxalate crystals when fed with a compatible S+OXSHIELD® food.

In the late 1930s, Morris Frank, a young blind man, was touring the country with his guide dog, Buddy, promoting Seeing Eye® dogs. However, Buddy, a German shepherd, was suffering from kidney failure and Mr. Frank asked Dr. Mark Morris Sr. for help.

Dr. Morris believed Buddy's illness was the result of poor nutrition, so he developed a new pet food with his wife, Louise Morris, in their kitchen.
