VETPLUS Vetsalve for dogs & cats 20ml
Vetsalve is a balm to help with wound management. It contains Norwegian spruce (Picea abies) resin in an oil-base and forms as occlusive, anti-microbial layer on the skin. Vetsalve, the topical treatment for infected and non-infected, acute and chronic wounds and skin abrasions.
Vetsalve should be applied using the following steps:
- Clip the hair around the area and clean the wound
- Apply Vetsalve sparingly (1-2mm) directly onto wound. Can be used with dressings if required
- On deep wounds apply Vetsalve directly to wound bed
- Reapply Vetsalve one to two times daily at first and reduce to every other day
- The amount of wound exudate is often higher in the beginning and reduces over time. Once the amount of wound exudate reduces, Vetsalve can be applied once every other day
When selecting the wound dressing please keep in mind that Vetsalve holds moisture on the wound
Vetsalve is presented in 20ml tube for topical use can be used for different species.
